Hugo Proença

Born in Lisbon, on November 30,1973.

Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa in 2002.

Graduated in Design in Interiors area from the Instituto de Artes Visuais, Design e Marketing (IADE) in 1996.

He began his career as an architect at PM, Palma de Melo Arquitetos in 2001 and 2002, before moving on to work with various architectural practices, including RMS Arquitetos in 2017, where he worked as a coordinating architect.

His work includes projects as diverse as sports equipment, housing, commercial spaces, hotels, set design and equipment and his work has been recognised through various national and international publications.

In January 2025 he joined the AQA team, which is the result of the merger of INTERGAUP and RMS Arquitetos.

He collects contemporary Scandinavian furniture and is an enthusiast in carpentry, sport and music.
